trends
In about ten months, there will be no more posts on Mohtalim if the linear trend continues.
Now, you could argue what we're experiencing is greater than normal seasonal decline. But I doubt it.

By the way, your fit value for the linear trend is roughly 0.5, and is roughly the same for a 2nd order polynomial and logarithmic. If you use exponential, then you can get a fit of roughly 0.63 which is also not great, but definately better. Anyways, we'll be at about 140 posts/month by December and only 90 a year after that...
Oh, what happened from March to September 2004 that caused that rising trend. That couldn't have been all election related especially since October and November dropped off again.
Not that I want to bring up FF again, but I think that skewed the count we have near the end of 2003 to be as high as it is. Also, the drop in September 2003 was likely from a partial forum crash.
Anyways, if we're gonna place blame, I think it's Vinny's fault. Post if you agree!

Seeing as he's worse now than he was in college kind of made me unable to hold back voicing my disapproval on many of the things he does.quantus wrote:How'd you do that? And why'd you ruin it for the rest of us?
Dude, he's only posted 4 times in the last month!
and to tell the truth, I don't have internet at work and try to stay as far away from my computer once I get home as I can. I barely read everything that's posted here as it is.

What? If you've managed to piss me off without myself knowing, that's quite a feat.Jason wrote:I think peijen and I pissed vinny off enough that he doesn't want to talk to any of us anymore. Well more me than peijen, but that doesn't matter much.
I just drove back from a week-long family vacation in the Smokey Mountains; ~1400 miles added to my car FTW.
As for general events, they've simply popped up faster than I've expected. Sorry for being busy?
Finally, aren't you being just a tad presumptuous.

Perhaps; keeping Mohtalim running is a joint effort of mutual benefits (ie. amusement). Unfortunately, that also takes effort.George wrote:Hooray! Vinny has returned to save us all! I expect the trendline to reverse itself shortly.
I'll see what I can do, but my visiting parents are also bound to keep me busy.
Some random snippets:
- hiking on trails boring
- hiking off the trails and across waterfalls is cool
(watch out for naked bathers though >_>) - the DS Lite rocks
(not sure about Polar aka crack cocaine white though) - I missed CelebrateFairfax (boo!)
- I'm thinking about buying HD-595s (link2); might make a RFC thread
