Update:

Finally got my subjob

Hmm, now I'm debating whether I should go straight to THF/WAR, or try to get a chocobo license first (since it's a LONG walk back)...

Go THF/WAR, get flee, then you won't die when you go get chocobo

Ok kidding...that'll take too long heh. get chocobo when you can because it'll save you tons of time (yes time can be measured by weight)

Okay, then per your suggestion I think I'll get THF11/WAR5, then switch to WAR/THF until WAR20-22. Next it's chocobo time and then back to THF

Btw, I'm currently THF8/WAR4[18], rank2 (need to find the lizard egg quest, I think that's mission 5), and in need of a better dagger since the Bastok AH sucks for them

When do you plan on leveling your BLM Dave?

Also, according to the thief faq on GameFAQs, I shouldn't be using dagger until between levels 15-33 (since sneak attack won't multiply the damage of dagger wskills as much since no dagger wskills do extra damage until Viper Bite at level33).

Is this realistic? Since I think it'd be a pain to level dagger back to max after not using it for 19 levels.

Just use it occasionally when you fight easier enemies to keep your skill at a decent level. I think it just advises you not to use a dagger exclusively.

Need to do a few more repeat missions/trade crystals to get mission 6, but when I do, should I wait until level 25? (the cap I think)

Nah, we did it at around 20-23 or so, but best to have your group be around 22 or 23 I think.

Randomness:
SilverDawn was the voted name, Kavic is the LS holder, however he's leaving to play WoW with his girlfriend (has been doing it for a while), there's a possibility we'll merge with another LS, but nothing is set in stone yet, Chains of Promathia rocks, I've been spending too much time crafting, etc

Off the top of my head, definitely Glynis (aka Paul) and Shigera, not sure about Lasso or Monkmonk.

Some more notables that have left:

Trowah
Kristal
Iaei (who came back as Vespertine, then left again)

Althorn still has his account, occasionally posts to the SilverDawn forums, but has mostly been playing WoW.

Most of the LS are new members Alan hasn't met.
