Well I won't be in DC next fall...
GW just rejected me to shut me out of the capital.
But I got an interview at SUNY Buffalo. Of 67 out-of-staters interviewed last year, 47 were ultimately accepted. So hopefully I can get into at least one school this year. Still hoping for Pitt and/or Case, but I'd be happy with Buffalo.

I have zero acceptances so far.
I have been rejected from Georgetown, George Washington, U of Chicago - Pritzker, Loyola, Vanderbilt, and U of Rochester.
I am on pre-interview hold (pretty much rejected) at NYU, SUNY Upstate (Syracuse), and Penn State (?!).
I am on post-interview hold (pretty much waitlisted) at Case.
I will not hear from Pitt until March.
I interview at Buffalo on the 8th and will probably hear from them in a week or two. I expect to be waitlisted there too, most people (especially out-of-staters) are, but they accept about 2/3rds of the people on their waitlist apparently. So I just won't know for sure until June or July or so.

it's probably better to go to med school in buffalo though. fewer distractions. both of my sisters went to med school in middle of nowhere places, one in ann arbor and the other in erie so i'm not completely making this up.
Nah, they decided that Alan is such a great candidate that they've skipped the interview stage. They'll just send you the final acceptance after they've finished interviewing the less qualified applicants.Peijen wrote:haha, they feel like replying to you to reject you is an insult to themAlan wrote:It's Johns Hopkins. Johnsssssssss. They apparently get pretty pissed about people always getting their name wrong. I did apply, haven't heard from them.
I feel like I just beat a kitten to death... with a bag of puppies.
