more whinging

Post by Jonathan »

Bloody hell. I had a great rant worked up about the downfall of modern civilization because everyone was using "whinging" instead of "whining." A great rant, until I did a little more googling and found that "to whinge" is a British and Australian spelling of "to whine."

Fucking poms.

My rant was based in large part on the common usage of the spelling "whinging." The common usage, however, is because of the British and Australians using it correctly, as they see it. I sincerely doubt lots of Americans are typing "whinging" in error.
