Anyone watch Joey?

Post by Dave »

Seems like a pretty bad show so far...
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Joey was always annoying to me, but the contrast with the other characters did give him some good moments. I don't think I could stomach a show that's just him.

Other than SG: Atlantis, none of this year's new shows look interesting to me. With Friends and Angel gone, and 24 and Alias on hold until January, I'm down to just Charmed, Simpsons, Enterprise, and the Stargates.
I feel like I just beat a kitten to death... with a bag of puppies.

the apprentice was good last night.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to watch this season. I usually find something every night even if it sucks.

SG:A is definitely looking good. Pretty much because of the major and the canadian guy.

The leader chick doesn't piss me off as much as I would have expected. The interviews before the show aired made it sound like she was going to be a whiny pacifist. The other chick, and the few members of her tribe with speaking parts annoy me, though.

I watched a bit of the apprentice too. seemed kinda blah. Seems like everyone is a bitch; you know the people you would like to slap. or in vinny's case, use ffxi emotes.

It was ok. Nothing spectacular. Decent premise and acting. Could have used a bit more compelling plot though ... at least for the pilot.

You are far more kind than I.

There were two annoying women, the annoying male lead, and annoying black guy. I forget if any other characters existed. They used the black bars to give it a half-assed letterbox format to indicate this was Serious Drama, i.e. like recent ER. They set up the victims as annoying bitches and I immediately saw that one was going to die, but it was okay because A. she was an annoying bitch; and B. they would save the rest of them. This turned out to be true. At the end, when they were cruising in their expensive luxury private government jet, I foresaw the witty comment, but I even I couldn't foresee the extreme lameness of the witty comment. It was Himalayme.

Decisive Battles was far more entertaining. I laughed my way through most of it. I'm a general... with no joints! I did enjoy the part where the Goths encircled the wagons and then charged anyway. Nutty Goths and their Gothic leaders.

What are you talking about? Only that one guy died. It wasn't a girl. He was blue and wanted to talk to the daughter that spurned him.

I've missed most of the shows this season. I think it just went a little too far for me. Last season was amazing, but this one crossed the line for me. I'm not sure if it was any one thing, but just the amalgamation of how wrong most of everything that the show has done this season.

Or maybe it's because the show has become extremely depressing and I've got more than enough of that that I don't need more from a tv show.

There was an episode on Friday. Thought it was alright. Not good but not terrible either, standard network TV fare.
