List of players to blacklist

Post by Alan »

List players you've had bad grouping experiences with here, so we can all avoid them. I'll start:

Minra - I think she's more than slightly insane
Miles - Is unable to comprehend directions
Ekulaaku - Forms groups and then leaves without saying anything to join other groups

That's all for now.

I can second the Ekulaaku one, he/she was pulling for a group I was in at Batallia last night, and even though we were fighting in a bunker right next to a zone line, we still managed to get the WHM killed and almost the whole party wiped out. Avoid this person at all costs!

Lionlicht: Hasn't a clue how to Provoke, pretty hostile.

Zekmyr and I grouped with this guy for about ten minutes when hunting in the Dunes.. the guy had to be -told- to Provoke (as the damselfly was taking me down to half health), and then ran away when his health hit 180 (just barely in the yellow) because I "didn't know how to heal." Tried to have a polite "what the heck happened there?" conversation with him once we ran back to Selbina and the guy was just an asshole. He's apparently a PLD or something now, but I'd still avoid.

the crowning point was telling me he was reporting me to a GM cos I kicked him from the party and put him on blacklist. ;p

It's a little surprising to me that several people (including Lionlicht) that have been mentioned have been pretty kind to me. Maybe it's just because I have a female char or something...who knows?

Yeah that's probably why.

Also, Minra and Miles were nice enough, just don't ever party with them unless you want to die.

Not if you kill them first!!! I think I bump into Minra way too many times. Good thing I never played with her before.

Blech, there is a huge void of US players 30+ now, so its usually finding japanese groups.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Trowaa... not Trowah, but Trowaa.

He's about the most retarded, loud-mouthed, rude person I've ever met... and he melees instead of nuking (and he's a BLM!!!!).

Any WAR who refuses to provoke or even engage in a fight his party is in, just because he/she is 20 hp under max. Elf<some long name I don't care to remember> did this. Everyone but him died. Need I also mention this was the worst PT I've ever been in? (Zek, this was way after we PT'd, when someone I leveled with during earlier levels asked for help. Why oh why did I help...)

Also mages also need to learn to run when told by tanks who are risking themselves to save the mages, since tanks have a MUCH better chance of zoning and surviving.

Exception to this is mages who can Bind/Sleep/Gravity. In those cases tanks should be watching to see when the spell sticks, and then they should get the hell out of there, and not whack the mob to wake it up.

don't know if these two people deserve to be blacklisted but I sure didn't like them that much.

Volrath: he thinks he knows it all. Kept on telling me to cast lightning/ice on crabs and fire on giants because they're week to these elements. I kept telling him YES I KNOW and pointed out the fact that I was already casting lightning/ice on crabs (he apparently doesn't read the battle msgs) and that in most cases thunder does hell a lot more dmg than fire on giants (at one time 90dmg vs 30 dmg - did I say he doesn't read the battle msgs?).

Zilong: Volrath's friend who was the highest lvl in the party destroying the xp. He complained about the xp being low (whose fault is that?), pulled even when mages had really low hp/mp because he just wanted to lvl, and when the whm died he told him to stop acting like a baby (cuz the whm asked to have the drop from the mob that killed him).

Both of these people also don't really wait for mages and move on to another camping spot when a spot runs out of monsters.

Will never meet these people again I guess :)

wow. i dunno if anyone is friends with Zhiquiang but he is such a wuss

we were in a party in crawlers nest and getting really crappy xp off the crawlers (~50) so we decide to build up TP to take a fly, and zhi keeps complaining about flies, even though they were just normal IT. granted flies are harder, but its not like we didnt have escape or 2hrs.... So then he demands a warp 2, and leaves us. what a wuss.

never pting with him again

Heh, he asked me to help his friend with mission 8 (the one with that hare meat boss) because they didn't have a whm. I was like...come on you're lvl 40+ just wack him to death already. I dont dislike him or anything but I agree he could get on people's nerves sometimes, heh
