I've a few more ships going at the starbase than he had. You should know that. I also know all about the range and initiative advantage you have, but I'm pretty sure I can still get past that and win. I think you know it too or you wouldn't be trying to talk me out of it.

Yep, I'm gonna predict a win with my battleships still alive. How do you like them apples?

mmm... planetary conquest. Now, if only my bombers would get to your planet like they were supposed to, I'd be ready to invade already.

Wheee, I've gased a whole lot of bunnies, time to take over soon.

I guess in the end, flak is very effective at keeping my main fleet from being hurt. Anyways, it only took 60 turns, but war is finally breaking out.

You mean chaff? Yeah, I saw it coming, but for some reason mentally discounted it. Not a good idea.

heh, a person to replace martin since martin has expressed disinterest in playing again. How much longer do you think the current game's gonna last? A guess at the number of turns would be better than number of days at this point I would think.

Oh, Jonathan, I feel the need to ask how much longer you plan on skirting around my minefields before you try entering them at high warp. Your super fuel-xport has already met an untimely demise from executing this foolish maneuver. It seems to me that you're wasting your time, effort, and fuel in this exercise. The smallest minefield at 70ly is already impossible to get through in one turn. Without making it through in one turn, you lose the element of surprise and your only chance of winning the battle.

Yes, Joe is the greatest! Except, oh, wait, you're not in the lead. Riight.

Well, at the moment, you're right, I'm not in the lead in score, but I'll remind you even you said that score isn't all that great an indicator of who's winning. Besides, the all important thing is that I'm beating you soundly. I don't really care if neal wins or not.

I knew I should have attacked you instead of Martin.

Yes, yes you should have. You would've had a much better chance of winning then. That was before I knew the mechanics of battle well enough to stop you too. Now though, I think I could have beaten you if I knew then what I do now. Actually, come to think of it, Neal would've been an easier target, but that doesn't matter since my planets are better for you to invade.

Yes, but your planets lose all their terraforming, too, after invasion.
