From my readings the concensus is that a 3 melee 3 mage group is best. A 4 melee 2 mage group will work, and some 5 melee 1 mage groups work. It seems like a 2 melee 4 mage group fails more often than not though.

So we should be fine.

Hopefully.

Btw, managed to get 4761 on Benchmark 2 in high-res (quality?) mode without rebooting.

I'll try installing new drivers and rebooting when I get home to see if I can boost that any 8)

VLSmooth is tempted to ask more questions but will RTFF first (Read the Fine FAQs)

plus world passes are only valid for a week, but can accomidate up to 5 people! so the key is coordination in buying FFXI and having some guiness pig go purchase a pass

I am hoping for something in the 1800-2000 range, as I am very close to the limits of the minimum spec. I was so planning on waiting for new video card until HL2 or D3 came out, too. Oh, well. If I don't hit 1500 on the benchmark, I'll probably just lay out the cash for a 9800. I'll upgrade the rest of my system next year, more than likely.

Yup leaning towards white then work up to summoner later on.

And no tarus for me, like alan said they look too ridiculous. I refuse to run around in the body of a 3 year old and can't tell the gender easily...heh, so most likely hume

A friend of mine is getting his game directly from stores tomorrow so looks like he'll get it before me and I will get his world pass...he's thinking monk/samurai but I could be wrong

What is World Pass and how do I get one?

World Pass will guarantee a character to a server where the World Pass was originally purchased. World Pass can ONLY be used when creating a character. There is a "World" text location where you can fill in the Name of the Server and the World Pass Code. There is a World Pass buying location in 3 major cities on every server. The cost is about 750Gil - 1000Gil. Also keep in mind that there is a expiration on the World Pass. The pass is valid for 7 real life days OR may be used 5 times, which ever comes first. If the World Pass gets used up 5 times before the 7 real life days, the purchaser will have to wait until the 7 real life days pass before buying another World Pass.

Here's a list of location:
Bastok:
Port Bastok: Kachada - J-6

Windurst:
Windurst Walls: Heavens Tower H-6 then in the Clerical Chamber.

San D'oria:
Port San D'oria: Ambleon - J-10

Hmph.
6 GB free hard disk space
4 CDs unpacked to 6 GB. I may actually have to delete stuff just to install this game. Ah, well. Bye, bye, SB.

So, Vinny, was your score with the 9500 that you modded to a 9700?

Probably. I installed C&C and UT2003 for that LAN party I went to. I don't think I uninstalled SB then. Probably the three together plus my random files/downloads leave me with less than 6 GB free. I need a bigger HD.
