This I can explain.
When I moved to dreamhost.com , I made an admin user called Dwindlehop. When I tried to restore from backup, the existing user Dwindlehop didn't get restored. So my post count was reset at that time.
Everyone who stays ahead of my post count is okay. Everyone who falls behind is a slacker!
