On second thought, if you still have that Merlin, train Electronic Warfare if you haven't already.

I already had Propulsion Jamming up to level II and have my guy training EW while I study, I guess I can have that up to level II by the time we start, so what equipment should I get for that?

Well, hell. My corp is dissolving. I have some options:

Malicious Intentions - flies in my alliance, so I wouldn't have to move. Still need to learn some more about them. I don't think they're very big, but there is still the alliance backing them.
Team Americas - lots of positives and negatives. They're US-based and good pilots, and I've flown with them before. They're pretty active when I play. They're also far from me and tend to chat like Dave when he was playing lots of Counterstrike.
Uninvited Guests - Started by refugees from my old corp.
Maelstrom Crew - mercenaries. I don't know anything about them except a few folks in my old corp joined them.

I'm on the inpatient service for the next two weeks which means my hours are 6:30 am to sometime between 5 and 9 pm.

So I'm going to wait until I'm back on outpatient to reactivate.

Alan, I'm seriously thinking about joining Sniggerdly. Snigg is another non-territorial 0.0 corp. They fly in gangs of 20-40, which sounds is pretty awesome to me. My leading alternatives are UGH, which is still small (probably really small in Pacific times) or waiting until I own a Sabre and shopping myself around to the territorial alliances.

Snigg's currently recruiting experienced pilots. You could join Sniggwaffe, which is their noob wing. Sniggerdly and Sniggwaffe generally fly together, so we could gang up when we're both online. The difference is the level of privileges you are accorded, but you can transition to Sniggerdly after a successful stint in Sniggwaffe. I think they're currently blue to Goons and hostile to BoB + friends, but Snigg has a rich tradition of 0.0 piracy which I fully expect them to return to.

I need to dig up my old killmails from pre-Queens and post them on griefwatch.net or someplace. Maybe I'll do that tonight/tomorrow morning.

Apparently, a cool place for new-ish players to shoot each other is Passari. You might get a bit of a dogpile, but you probably won't get a blob.

So Snigg still hasn't gotten back to me... On the plus side, they're pretty quick to reject people. So at least I'm not totally unacceptable. If I don't get an invite to apply to Snigg, I may go with Malicious Intentions. RIOT actually dissolved along with Queens, so MI hooked up with Cult of War. I think they're my second choice because COW is holding some systems in the very north part of the map which RAZOR is actively contesting... Fleet combat might be fun. I've never actually flown in a POS battle.

Do you care, Alan? I judge the odds that I can pull you into either corp to be about the same.

Nah I don't know what any of that means so I'm happy to tag along anywhere you end up.

The difference is COW holds stations, Snigg doesn't. COW is currently on the defensive, though the battle reports say they have not lost any ground. Fleet battles tend to involve more waiting than a roaming gang. Shit can and does go seriously wrong in player-owned stations (see my past history in OSS), even when you're offline.

Snigg will always be on the offensive since they don't own any stations to defend. They won't ever have access to some of the higher level PvE content, or the player-created content (POS, outposts, sovereignty).

Snigg is currently my first choice simply because I have heard POS warfare is not as fun. But I've never done it, and I can see the attraction.

Hmm. CoW seems heavily EU based. Art of War is pretty active in my timezone, I've noticed. But I don't actually see many MI guys. I dunno. I think Snigg would be better, if I get in.

Ah I see.

I'd probably have to agree. Big fleet battles sound like they require a lot more time committment. And money.
