Would you trust google with your calendar information? Thinking about using the google calendar to coordinate events in the furture.

I've talked with a couple of people who work at Google and they are actually pretty careful about who and how people can use user information. Basically, no one person has direct access to the data ever. If you want to use the data for something, you have to make a proposal, then if it gets approved, you write code to do what you propose. That code is then peer reviewed before it's even allowed to be passed along to other people who run it and they just give you the results back. You're not even allowed to see any intermediate data. Basically, I wouldn't think they're interested in your individual data, but more trying to model populations. If Asimov got the premise to the Foundation series correct, then Google is currently the likely place to implement it first.
