giant desserts

Post by bob »

I was going through some old posts on Mohtalim and came across a thread (July 2003) about giant desserts. I had mentioned the massive (5x5x1.5") rice krispy treats in the EA cafeteria, and Jonathan regaled us with tales of equally massive and affordable Intel brownies. Then Skanks talked about the tyranny of the two- and three-layer pies at LANL.

So, does anyone currently have regular access to amazing desserts like these? I unfortunately do not, though I could really go for a giant rice krispy treat right about now.

I don't currently have access to it, but the pie at Patti's 1880s Settlement and Restaurant in Kentucky is absurdly giant. Wobbly, in fact, because a single slice is so giant it lacks structural integrity.

I just have access to the totally regular sized rice crispy treats that you can get from Costco... And, they're free.

On most days, free will triumph over huge. I hope you stop at Costco every day for your free treat.

No no no, they're part of the free food provided by work... We have a Costco delivery every week.
