Nah, I don't have RPC.

Not even sure I can get it unless Dave gets it too.

You should get one of those computers, Alan. With a front-side bus. And maybe some dynamic memory while you're at it.
this reminds me of the fry's salespeople. we went there so amber could pick up and type on laptops because we're getting her one this fall. the salespeople kept trying to help us and i kept telling them no. except i did finally let one help us because i wanted him to fetch me a tape measure, which he did. then i ignored him.
Hehehe

Funny you should mention this. One of the guys at work (we'll call him Dave) nearly lost an eye one time because of that. Some friends took him to a freak club during fetish night, and there was a transexual (wo)man wearing nothing up top except nipple spikes. Dave was sitting on a somewhat wobbly speaker, and the tranny wanted to get up on the stage next to him. He leaned back to give her some room, but she thought he was scared of her, so she used his shoulder as a support to get up on stage and sort of pulled him closer. Since the speaker he was sitting on was wobbly, he partly lost his balance, and she did too, and her nipple spike grazed just past his eye.

He likes to tell this story at lunch when there's someone new.

I know you reformatted. But still.
Once inside, an unpatched computer running Windows 2000, XP, NT or Server 2003 will be infected by the worm. Microsoft said that the exploit used by MSBlaster can allow an infected machine to be controlled remotely, without the owner's permission or consent, by a malicious hacker. But apart from the denial-of-service attack against Microsoft, it appears MSBlaster is simply causing system instability in infected machines.

Even patched machines that are unprotected by firewalls can be harmed when the worm penetrates them. Security experts said affected computers have been crashing or rebooting every minute or so.

To clean out Blaster yourself, start by physically disconnecting the computer from the network and Internet. Then kill off the MSBLAST.EXE process. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to bring up the Task Manager – in Windows 2000 you'll also click the Task Manager button. Click the Processes tab, highlight MSBLAST.EXE in the list, and click the End Process button.
I guess it's not hard to figure out if you've got it.

Hm, looks like Dell's not offering free shipping now and the rebate's down to $50. Guess I'll have to wait a bit longer then.
