One time, at band camp

Post by Dave »

hehe I can still picture vinny's unconcious face against the curved window guard of Chickhen's counter, slowly sliding down as he lay motionless. Someone still owes me a meal block!

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I still wish I had been there to see that...

I only remember seeing the floor, followed by trying to stand up and having the lunch lady shove my head toward the floor so my head would get more blood while simultaneously annoying the crap out of me. -_-

Note, I actually get ~6-9 hours of sleep now; 6 being the minimum

Edit: fixed spelling error

I assume that means you sleep until at least 2:00 PM, because I can't believe you actually started going to sleep at a reasonable time.

Was that in the Grab N Blow area? I remember somebody going down there, but I don't remember if it was fainting or just tripping completely over something. Was that where they gave him some free juice for being a good sport, and tried to convince him to sleep and/or eat occasionally?

Very funny Bob.

I remember you there at the time, more specifically in line at the Italian vendor.

For some strange reason I remember you winning a bike because of buying orange juice? (now my memory's getting fuzzy)

Yeah, that bike is still around, though it has 1/3 the speeds it used to be. It's in moderately shitty condition. I should do something with it, like sell or donate it, since I've got a good bike too.

I think I was there, in one of the other lines (the italian place maybe?). But I didn't know what was going on, or that Vinny was involved.

To this day I still wonder: cavatelli or cavitappi?

Hmm, and that got me thinking. I don't think I have bought Frutopia, Pringles, or Combos since freshman year. Even though in the real world they probably cost half the price.

Continuing random train of thought, I miss the "twice-cooked" chicken parmisian from the early days when you could get mashed potatos AND another side of your choice with it. Not like later when they only gave you the crappy spaghetti. What a ripoff.

And now I'm hungry for a Spicy Italian. Yes Dave, go ahead and make the obvious jokes about that statement. I bought one the first time I went back to CMU and it was every bit as good and as bad as I remember, though the price was up to something like $9.00.
