Interesting... I'd say I've become quite pragmatic, the whole plan for the worst, hope for the best shtick with tinges of ~1:2:1 ratio of abstraction freak, veteran, and guru.

I've probably been lucky, since I've learned about the extremes of the 5 stages vicariously through others.
