FFXI Play times
hehehe anyone that can heal could technically powerlevl if they grab enough aggro healing to have the mob whack them instead of the arty getting power-leveled. I know since a lvl 40 WHM was powerlvling a friend in my valk party for a bit, just tanking the gobby
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

Um, it played very well on my new SFF box (with an integrated gf4mx on modem!!!)quantus wrote:Well, buy me a better computer to play it on. You just need to know what settings to tweak (ie. drop res to 800x600, keep mip-mapping, 1024x1024 textures with low compression, uncompressed maps, and TURN OFF environmental effects (in game)).
Well once you get past a certain point, it would be better off just to party rather than having someone heal you and wait for you to kill slowly. If you kill slow, I don't know if you still want to call that "power" lvling. Besides, its more fun interacting with a party...than having someone follow you around healing you and get bored easilyDave wrote:hehehe anyone that can heal could technically powerlevl if they grab enough aggro healing to have the mob whack them instead of the arty getting power-leveled. You kicked my dog!!!
hehe i meant in a pt. 6 ppl whacking while the high lvl tanks hehe. It works because the mob misses and aggro doesnt go down over time. (normally the tank loses aggro everytime he's hit)

You realize that my newest computer is my laptop I hope... It's only got a GeForce2Go, P3-1GHz, and 384Megs of PC100. It just doesn't compare to your new computers.VLSmooth wrote:Um, it played very well on my new SFF box (with an integrated gf4mx on modem!!!)quantus wrote:Well, buy me a better computer to play it on. The more important question is whether you'd like it or not. I have a feeling it would run well even on your laptop (with the correct settings). Square Enix did an impressive job imho.
Provided there's some interest, install it on your computer and log on as a friend's account. This should be fine since only one account can be logged on at any given time (hence why pirating MMORPGs is pretty stupid).

I concur with Joe. 1170 is too pathetic to be enjoyable, especially for someone who doesn't have a huge hardon to play this game like Vinny. Therefore, Joe doesn't have to endure any more badgering from Vinny until such time as he comes into some better hardware. Case closed.

2) Joe and Jonathan like badgering.
3) Your customer service sucks, I demand satisfaction via copious amounts of cash

I have not come into better hardware. I don't intend to upgrade my system since what I have is enough for what I typically do. The only way I'd upgrade is to get a lighter more portable system which is not likely to run the game faster.Dwindlehop wrote:until such time as he comes into some better hardware. Case closed.
