For people that haven't pre-ordered FF XI

Post by VLSmooth »

Where/how do you plan on getting it? Seems Jonathan wants to go the retail route, which I may do as well for convenience. As of yet, I haven't heard of any special bargains. A group discount would kick ass. 8)

I'll probably just pick it up at EBGames.

A lot of retail places won't actually get it until the 29th.

The Fry's will be selling it for $40. The question is whether I want to get it retail or not. Probably so. Although, it's tempting to order it from Outpost.com. Lemme see if there is tax on that. Or shipping.

You know, it's sad that I didn't think about the possibility of it being sold out... Then again, we're waiting ~2 weeks before we start, right? 8)

Got mine from EB. They offer free one day shipping and a BONUS MOUSE PAD DAS RITE! hehe

Other than that they'll also offer a $10 voucher for your next eb online purchase. I figured I would buy something from them again in the near future.

Well, hell. If you preorder it from Outpost and pay for overnight, it's $48. For 2-3 ground, it's $44. Decisions, decisions. Whether tis better to buy retail/Drive the outrageous distance to Fry's/Or to make a preorder from Outpost.com/And, in ordering, not be able to return?

Fry's is now selling FFXI for $50. Don't know if that was a typo or a limited time offer. Oh, well. Guess I'll go to my local mall and pick it up, then.

Considering I don't "need" the game right now, is EB still the best bet?

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/236401.asp

recap:
$49.99, free one-day shipping plus a mouse pad! (paul thinks it sucks iirc)

yeah we should, but you never showed that one time I was by the light house. I have the gil drop passive ability so we should get more gil if they ever drop any, and I can steal every 5 minutes so we can get more crafting material.
