You think I didn't check that first? http://www.gmail.com has sort of an April fool joke on it, but I am 99% sure 2 gigabytes is real.

Best article about MGM v. Grokster I've read. As far as I can tell, the general purpose computer is a device that could have secondary liability when users of the device use it to infringe copyright. Are we to outlaw Turing machines?

The Wired article said the first episode of Battlestar Galactica was available in its entirety on the website, but I can't find it. Can you?

It's at the top of the screen when you go to the battlestar galactica website. It looks like a banner ad. It plays in realplayer which is kind of annoying. This is the best thing on tv right now though so I would highly recommend watching the full season.

Everyday Science: Sleep Cycles ( mp3 | source )

Found while browsing random LJs. Courtesy of Alan, aka laziofan.

The funny thing is, I just talked to a coworker about REM sleep earlier today, who told sleeping 4 hours was better for him than 6, since that was in between REM cycles.

Btw, who's your partner? ;)

This really cute Jewish girl.

Who had a boyfriend. I tried for a while but got nowhere, even though said boyfriend was quite geeky and unattractive.

What is the author of Scorched Earth doing now? Making a moderately nifty music player that can create playlists automatically.

Officially, it's "MP3sHits.com". It's a bunch of links to MP3s, nothing noteworthy - probably shouldn't visit at work. I just liked the name.
