In other I'm not sure news, I think these guys are claiming practical digital circuit design using Vtt of 0.3 V. It's impossible to tell, though, because the press release (and accompanying news articles) are entirely devoid of technical content that might be used to judge whether this is an interesting development or not.

I'd really want to see stats on node used, frequency, density, and so forth. I suspect they have critical failings in one or more areas (device size, transistor density, achieved frequency), since it's three grad students and a few TI engineers. But who knows?
