Blue Eyes: Logic Puzzle

I took approximately thirty minutes to figure it out last night before I fell asleep. In this case I believe "logic" is a misnomer. It's a math puzzle.

I think that everyone with Blue Eyes could leave, but I can't see how anyone else would ever know the color of their eyes. That's my 30 second answer.

I concur with Dave. After 199 days, everyone spontaneously gouges out their left eye.
