As a percentage of household expenditures, an average couple will spend 26% on an only child, 42% on two children and 48% on three children.
Looks like the economy of scale kicks in after the second kid, something to think about.

Pfft. If you (the parents) are still eating, you're not spending enough on the child. 110% should be the minimum!
