I wouldn't mind a program that just airbrushed out the skin imperfections automatically. I've tried doing it manually and it is a bitch and a half.

Sometimes lowering the contrast hides imperfections well enough. If you have Photoshop (or Gimp I guess) you can play with the curves too.
Clone brush works better than airbrushing sometimes too.

There's HOWTOs that tell you how to do it with the Gimp, but it takes time and some skill.
