Fascinatingly, Ohio's ban of any marriage-like union is throwing out heterosexual domestic abuse cases involving unmarried couples. Will Virginia's gay marriage amendment be next?

Without digging into the Ohio case, would it really be legal to choke someone you're not "married" to? I'm not sure I understand the need for separate domestic abuse laws, when assault, battery, and other generic crimes are already applicable.

The New York Board of Health is considering making gender a personal choice:

That would basically indirectly make gay marriage legal, except that they would all be "straight" marriages.

I think penalties, resources, attention, protection is greater for people who are victims of domestic abuse than people who are assaulted. Being a victim of domestic abuse gets you certain things that being a victim of assault doesn't, not the least of which is credibility as a victim.

Gender should be optional and marriage should just be a legal agreement to have 2 people represented as one really fat one. Thus fat people would be taxed differently as well.

But what happens when two fat people marry? And since a divorce is just a termination of marriage, would it be legal for a fat person to divorce them self?

They are forced to consume another fat person of equal weight to restore order in the force.
