Garfield's origins were so mercantile that it's fair to say he never sold out—he never had any integrity to put on the auction block to begin with.
My question is, if we're hiring employees to do the cartoon instead of Davis, why can't they draw more? The 21st century version of Garfield is very spartan in design.

It was my favoite comic!

Yeah I loved Garfield and Calvin and Hobbes when I was a kid.

I used to wake up early every Saturday morning to watch the cartoon too.

Kids are stupid.
