Apparently I have failed to post this or I fail at searching, but anyway I have greatly reduced my beef intake (both hamburger and steak) for global warming reasons for a year or so. It was not a difficult change as I was already only eating vegetarian-fed beef, anyway. I did have some niggling concern that by continuing to eat bacon, though, I was making the giving up of beef a completely pointless gesture.

Per ounce, bacon puts 10 times less carbon in the atmosphere than a steak. Hell, even a pork chop is four times better than a steak, per ounce. Bacon is down there with grilled chicken. Hooray!
tl;dr eat more bacon, save the world
