Randy Pausch's Childhood Dreams Lecture

I'm really surprised this wasn't posted here already.

A not-uncommon task for professors is to give a lecture as if it would be their last. Ironically, for Randy Pausch, this one very well will be. Here's Randy's cancer page for more details.

I've yet to watch the lecture myself, but I've already had others contact me about this, including relatives.

The direct google video link is

Randy's site links a few of the other articles:
Randy Pausch wrote:The Good Morning, America piece is available here. The Wall Street Journal article is here, their online video coverage is available here, their follow-up article is here, and a followup video is here. Steve Hartman and the CBS Evening News piece is here.
I personally never met Randy Pausch, but I'm sure many of the CS grads remember Alice, which Randy is the director of. Bob should definitely know him, since Randy was also the CS co-founder of the Entertainment Technology Center (ETC).

Finally, one shouldn't forget the little things. The fact Randy has a How to Pronounce link for his name is just cool.

The Last Lecture series was a ongoing event even while we were at CMU. I went to one by someone-or-other, who noted that he was dismayed by the number of twenty-year-olds on campus who were burnt out. He exhorted the students to get out and live a little, and not work so hard. I've always tried to take his advice.
