The story of World War II Online players jumping over to Second Life to set up a WWIIO-style zone by kicking out the former residents with violence. The SL players, understandably upset, retaliate, and a war rages on for a month or so until the developer steps in to the quell the violence. To read it in chronological order, start from the bottom of each page.

SL players have created a plugin to allow avatars to hug.

Other players participate in an apparently thriving fetish community.

Yet other SL players are developing custom mods and weapons for new game types.

I had no idea Second Life was this flexible.

This is potentially the most ridiculous battle I have ever heard. (Context: Wagner James Au is walking across all the 2L zones, including the PvP ones. He has some two dozen random people with him who are walking across the game, too.)

wow, that must've been some firepower they had to take down a balloon covered with 25cm of titanium, and all of that versus a gun that shoots oranges :P
