Games I have played since fall 2009:
Alien Swarm - beat (short)
Left 4 Dead 2
Supreme Commander
Portal - beat (short)
Majesty
Everquest 2
Eve
God of War III - beat (long)
Transformers
Batman Arkham Asylum
Uncharted 2
Castle Crashers - beat (short)
Angry Birds - beat (short)

There's a pretty clear trend here.

Well, it makes me feel less bad about not finishing more games. However, I have found that for many games that I've beaten, it took discipline that doesn't belong in entertainment. So maybe something needs to change. But not length, because they're sure not going to cut price to compensate.

This year, I've beaten: Oblivion, Witcher (for the second time), Simon the Sorcerer, Broken Sword, Magicka, Alien Swarm, Sanctum (arguably) many flash games on Kongregate

I've given up on: Witcher 2, Terraria, many flash games on Kongregate

I've haven't beaten (but haven't quit) Descent, Heroes of Might and Magic 4, Champions Online
I feel like I just beat a kitten to death... with a bag of puppies.

I can probably count the number of games I've beaten in my lifetime on two hands.

Final Fantasy I
Final Fantasy II (American one)
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fantasy Tactics

The game that was before Disgaea.

Fallout I & II

Baldur's Gate I & II

Mass Effect I & II
Dragon Age Origins

Halo III

There's probably a couple others that I don't remember now. So maybe not two hands. This past year I started Witcher II, Dragon Age II, Magicka, Red Dead Redemption, Bioshock, Fallout New Vegas, TES Oblivion, and haven't even gotten halfway through any of them.

I've beaten WoW patches a few times!!
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I never beat the original. Fuck me if I'm going to play to the end enough times to get to figure out that final castle maze.

I did beat SMB3.

Grandia II. We finished that game within a few hours of each other.

I'd also suggest that you experienced all that Championship Manager had to offer.

Using a pair of warp points, I could get to 8-1 consistently. But on 8-3 there was a double jump I just couldn't pull off. I probably tried fifty times. I saw 8-4 beaten by other people, but never got there myself.
