Mission 6 The Emmisary Gathering!

Post by Dave »

I figured i'd start this post since most of us are around 20 now and need to finish this mission by 25

Part 1: Sandoria

We go to sandoria, preferably fighting from Valk (since the baddies willl be the equivalent of our kons highlands) that we havent seen before, and then talk to the Sandorian COnsulate (k-10), and then head out to the Orc base (H-7) and pwn t3h face, and return to the consulate.

Part 2: Windurst

Not sure how to get to Wind other than selbina's boat, but it should be pretty fun to fight our way through a new area. I went around outside muhaura for a bit, and really wanted to beat on that huge giraffe, but knew I would be whupped. Shouldnt be too tough now considering its the same as valk.

When: How does Friday sound? 8PM EST meeting in Selbina?

Because I initiated Windurst first, I have a feeling I'll be a bit screwed in this, but will come along to San for the sights and the XP if nothing else. ;)

We're so going to own the bosses.

But I guess we need to split up into two groups since we have many people?

No. Just do alliance. It's not for XP or items, just rank at the moment.

Can we plan another set of these for this coming weekend? Either friday or saturday night. I should be level 22, or close enough, by then and I have the quest now. I know a few other people are almost ready as well. The dragon should be no trouble with 1 or 2 uber black mage nukers, and I'm willing to help out with whoever needs to get it done.

If we do it friday, can we start a little later though, say 9 or 10 EST, because I don't get home from work until 6:00 or a little later (PST).

Sounds good. I doubt I'll have my black mage levels up to the point I can be BLM/RDM, but RDM is at least up high enough I can sub black and do lots of feeblin' and minor nukin'.

If anyone wants to raise some levels without going all the way to Qufim, Gusgen works pretty okay as long as you're careful, and have a full party with a couple of tanks w/Provoke and a white mage. I've also got a quest I need to do there (which caps at level 21 or so) and could use assistance in. ;p

Sure, me and Glyn will be de-lvled to 25 for the fight if you need us, but I dont plan on buying any 25+ equipment until Paladin is there hehe

Just for reference, debuffing the dragon isn't really necessary as you probably want to save the mana and the time for other things (for me all mana was used for healing). just keep attacking until it's dead thats the only way to guarantee that your health wont drop anymore.

dragon has high resistance anyway debuffing won't work all that great unless oyu got high skill lvls

Debuffing should go better if I can land Shock on him, it reduces MND, and therefore its magic resistance. Makes things like Blind and nukes easier to land.

Also, what's this quest in Gusgen you're talking about nu?

What I meant was that as a whm, I had no time to debuff because the front line people were getting seriously hurt already so all efforts were placed on healing them. But yeah if a blm is around then debuffing would be fine, even though nuking the dragon with spells right away would also be good since the dragon's pet supposedly heals him.

the Gusgen quest is picked up from the woman at the end of the bar at the Port Bastok tavern. You can get it as a fresh L1 newbie, no fame required. She wants you to go in and lure some bugger out an' kill it, then bring back proof. Alakazam's got details prolly (quest is titled Eco-Warrior).

So.. do we want to get some groups together for this tomorrow (21st), or Saturday or Sunday works better? The San-Dragon group should be all set as far as levels go, I think.

You dont need to. you can access just about everything on it. I think registration just allows you to participate in the forums and stuff, and maybe some other random member only stuff, not sure what though

I know they have member only stuff for DAOC, like advanced searches for items and quests and such.
