thread for those min/max stat haxx0rs
So does anyone know how to calculate DOT, or something close to DOT? I mean, defense, luck, and weapon skill all come into play. For instance, a Rusty Greatsword at 14/456 is clearly better than a Bronze Zaghnal at 14/480. And a Bronze Zaghnal +1 is clearly better than a Bronze Zaghnal since the +1 gives 15/470. But which is better, the Rusty Greatsword or the Bronze Zaghnal +1? Or how does that compare to an Onion Sword at 5/228 or a Harpoon at 8/396? I got no clue.
My simplistic analysis is to treat them as fractions. So
3/183 = .0163 Bronze Dagger
8/396 = .0202 Harpoon
5/228 = .0219 Onion Sword
14/480 = .0291 Bronze Zaghnal
14/456 = .0307 Rusty Greatsword
15/470 = .0319 Bronze Zaghnal +1
And that doesn't look too terrible. By this analysis, Harpoon is a pretty crappy 2H weapon, and the magic scythe is slightly better than the greatsword, but the greatsword is slightly better than the normal scythe.

Re: thread for those min/max stat haxx0rs
Code: Select all
3/1.83 = 1.63 Bronze Dagger
8/3.96 = 2.02 Harpoon
5/2.28 = 2.19 Onion Sword
14/4.80 = 2.91 Bronze Zaghnal
14/4.56 = 3.07 Rusty Greatsword
15/4.70 = 3.19 Bronze Zaghnal +1
also, I dont know about monster AR. since dealing one blow of 100-25 ar = 75 dmg, vs 2 x (50-25 ar) = 50 dmg. I did a dmg/delay to figure out what weapon to buy. then factored in "coolness" hehe
Generally speaking Warriors are "supposed" to be trained in as many weapons as possible to be the "bridge" in chaining. Of course I only know sword and axe, and none to well! hehe.

It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.
buying +1 weapons usually arent worth the price, unless you know you'll be using that for a few levels. Which is why i bought the Bee Spa + 1 for 5x as much for +1 dmg and +2 accuracy!

Well, that calculation favors slower weapons. Also, if you consider total damage wrt time, the slower weapon spike early and then plataeu until the next spike. That means the slower weapons probably kill a couple second sooner, on average. So I'll just stock up on slow-ass 2H weapons.Dave wrote:also, I dont know about monster AR. since dealing one blow of 100-25 ar = 75 dmg, vs 2 x (50-25 ar) = 50 dmg.
