How to run away

got the spell deodorize for that, but it last such short time, like many other spells that sound so useful but the usefulness is diminished by the duration of the spell, sigh

Do spells level like weapons at all?

yup, spells are grouped into types of spells and the skill category lvls just like weapons

Since I'm going Alchemy, I can try and focus on making Deodorisers. You can also buy them from the Alchemy Guild (I think).

I could be wrong but I think in order to get away from enemies you also have to take into account both "sight" and "sound" so that's why they have spells like invisibility and sneak. If you just get rid of odor by using deodorize I'm not sure if you'll be abe to get away all the time. Don't quote me on this...

Yeah some enemies locate you by sight, others by sound, and still others by scent.

I assume they also use some combination of the three.

yup definitely combination. too bad deodorize and I'm sure sneak and invisible will only last a short time but better than nothing I suppose.
