party experience

Post by nu »

from reallife:

Today's comic is true. It doesn't take long to level up (unless you are a little white mage taru like me.) but you shouldn't party until you are level 10. The reason for this is that you share whatever the experience is. For example, if you fight an enemy that gives you 50 exp then you would share that 50 with each person in the group. It isn't until you go and start fighting creatures that need to have a larger group that you worry about this at all.

..BUT.. for level 5-7 at least, I think the goblins on the hills (Vomp in Southern and Zerhun in Northern) work well for two people groups. I hooked up with some random guy up there earlier today to kill a few and was getting 50-60xp per to things that conned even/tough to me.

Yeah me and Dave went up to Vomp Hill today too. At level 9 we would still fight stuff that got us close to 50 exp each time.

I don't know which is faster really. I've been soloing fighting monsters that give me 12-36 exp each, and each dies in about 30 secs or less. maybe its not the fastest way but I never came close to dying. Of course I could probably try tough enemies but just too lazy to scope them out

yea, it seems like to level up faster its best to kill baddies solo, or in a duo in which you can go 5+ baddies before resting. When grouping, try and be within a few lvls of everyone else otherwise you'll not be making much xp.
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.
