Probably mechanics are: click 4teh WIN!

It let me fight you through the search function once, but then it didn't turn up your name.

Don't be Vyro's pupil, be my pupil! Clearly I am better to pupil for because Dwindlehop kicked Vyro's ass.

Also, search for Dwindlehop... it may not come up because I don't have fights left, but who knows?

Don't pick a name that is short that lots of people will have (Vyro).

Quick experimentation:

Loss = 1XP
Win = 2XP

Doesn't seem to matter whether it's to a higher level or not.

Despite the thing saying a pupil gives you XP, I made a pupil and had him gain a level without any XP gain on my main. I dunno what they're talking about.

Both levels I passed I got one stat point and either an ability (some abilities max a stat) or a weapon. Having a weapon does more damage than max strength, but you can be disarmed. I made one pupil that had the ability to scare pets and I had fought a guy with a pet, so I fought him again and won. Seems like using alts to troll for guys who are weak to your main's skillset would help maximize your odds of winning.

Defending doesn't lead to XP gain, it seems.

wtf how did you get a weapon already?

My toon sucks, my first skill was defense (which apparently doesn't do anything), and my second skill doubled my agility...but doesn't do much when my two double attacks per a turn does less damage than one weapon attack. I once fought against a guy who had two weapons...he finished me a painful knife throw to my face...

there was another one where the other dude did some sort of buff move...I wonder if you can control your initial skill you start with.

You can farm alts. I started one alt with a polearm which did 28 damage, though he got disarmed and whipped into submission by Dwindlehop. Dwindlehop having 2 weapons is very lucky, though I did get disarmed and fail to produce my backup in one fight.

I leveled up a guy and got Tough Skin, which reduced a 5HP hit to 3HP. I didn't try him against weapons.

I also started a guy who got massive HP, but 105HP still loses to a weapon every time.

Technical maintenance

In order to keep receiving new Brutes in the best conditions, we have temporarily closed The Brute to carry out some technical improvements. The site will be available again within a few minutes.
Still this way after waiting 5 minutes :-\

It's wierd like if you go up your master's tree, you'll eventually see that some people do get 1 exp point per level gained by a pupil...I just don't know why the ones we create don't count? Maybe there's some rule where you can't fight your master or they track ip or something? Also another thing is you can click on the pupil numbers to see a little dojo scene of all your students 8)

Here's my Polearm guy. I do not want him and I have not passworded him yet. If anyone wants him, he's yours. He's better than Davlok, that's for sure.

The translations are a little rough but manageable. So I guess they do tag IPs, that does kinda suck though, I should have legitimately gotten exp from dwindlehop!

So how does leveling up work?

I figure you get 1 random skill/weapon a level and 1 stat, but at level 3 I suddenly went from 3S to a full bar of S (speed?)

Of course, I still get my ass kicked, but still.
