Reasons why FFXI will be a bad game

Post by Jonathan »

I made this thread to make me feel better.

Lessee. There's something like 28 servers, which must mean their server pops are really low.
There's no real point to playing. You could just read the story on the websites.
The PvP will suck.
You can't build your own city.
The Japanese have already done everything worth doing.

Wow. I should've put my "cynical aren't we" post here.

Yes, I understand the point of this thread, and I feel compelled to reiterate, "are you sure? 8)

I knew SB was gonna be bad, but I bought it anyway. Now, I don't that FF will be bad, but that's probably just cause I didn't play the beta and haven't really been following it. I just don't why FF will be bad, yet.

The main reason I think FF is a bad game is the fact that my laptop only scores an 1170 or so on the benchmark and is not really playable with that score. So yeah, I'm not putting down a pile of cash to get a new computer just to play a game. If I had a spare pile of cash lying around, then maybe, but for now, I don't.

Just tell your advisor that you need a new computer to "increase your levels of expertise in your area of research" (i.e. FFXI) and that without it you'll never be able to "compete against collegues in your industry" (i.e. FFXI). If your advisor refuses, tell him he has "denied you the reason to live life (i.e. FFXI).

I'm not completely sure he'd mind me stabbing myself... he could always get a new grad student.

No need for mules? Does that mean FFXI actually gives you a large inventory?!?!?

VLSmooth still remembers Diablo's block scheme and that puny treasure chest, well, puny considering the amount of crap that was kept by all of us.

no, in fact your inventory is very small because everything you wear takes up inventory slots. However there's a stash in your house that holds up quite a bit

30 items, no weight restriction, some items stackable into groups of 12, plus your mog house. 'sokay. lots of loot, though.
