What're the odds! What're the odds? At least Prydun has 135 MC of Ironium now.

Well, about 1/96, as a first approximation. But still. Son of a bitch.

Yep. Huge comet crashed into my home world. It's practically a whatchacallit, total extinction event (Armageddon has been on a little too often recently). My slightly-recovering resource curve took a nice dip.

Luckily, huge comets are apparently made entirely of large quantities of valuable minerals. Not, say, hydrogen and silicon and oxygen.

current standings

Post by Jonathan »

Just for fun:

Martin - 77
Jonathan - 270
Joe - 371
Neal - 397

The first 20 years: Everyone does squat. Martin and Jonathan bicker over Accord.
The next 10 years: Jonathan builds up an attack force to strike at Martin. Joe and Neal do squat.
The next 10 years: Jonathan attacks Martin and halves Martin's resource output inside of three years. Neal really cranks up the economy and outproduces everyone else, including Joe. Joe and Neal both build fleets of escort ships. Jonathan starts a plan of recolonization involving Martin's settled colonies and some genocide.
The next 10 years: We're playing those right now. Whee!

no, i think that's the pizza you left behind your monitor last week
It takes 43 muscles to frown and 17 to smile, but it doesn't take any to just sit there with a dumb look on your face.

I particularly love the trash talk of someone who has only 3k resource output per year when two other players have twice that much. Also, Neal is only barely outproducing me. I've even taken over first place again now that you've wiped out his fleet.

Why not come bring some my way and see what happens to that rusted up old fleet of yours?

What happened to your fleet? It looks like it got squished.

Yes, hiding from the game itself. I knew rabbit holes could be deep, but that's rediculous.

Oh man, I've gotta see the next oprah then. Should be interesting. I wonder if you had the resources and minerals to load up the ultrastation completely. I'm betting against it since you have such a paltry resource income.

On further analysis, you're still way out-gunned no matter what you have. I'll just actually sustain more losses than I was hoping. Oh well.

At this level, it's all about who hits first. Neal's Penetrators (same loadout as a Lop the Lop Ears) didn't get a shot off at my starbase before they died, though they had almost parity in Jihads (albeit at a greatly reduced accuracy). Initiative and range wins when damage >> armor.
