There are single player missions, but from what I can tell they're still in the multiplayer format, just that you have to meet the objectives with certain constraints (like minimum number of kills with a pistol). Mainly it has a much better graphics engine (no longer a modified quake1 engine) and bots.
MP2? Max Payne of course.

Anyhow, I am guessing that they shoot for Christmas, miss, and come out in the second week of January. Seems like the popular thing to do.

Vivendi's president or CEO said April. Valve hasn't said jack. The real rumor is that Vivendi's head mouthpiece was talking out of his ass and that Valve will announce the real new release date shortly. The speculation is that Valve will target a Christmas release, which only makes sense financially. Plus, I don't think they have 6 more months of work left to do on this project, not if they thought they could release on September 30 at E3. As for the loss of source code, sucks for them, but I know they're not going to delay release just so they can rewrite parts.VLSmooth wrote:Eh? I'm pretty sure they said April (at least that's the common word from irc, if I remember correctly)
That's kind of funny.J'adoube - An expression denoting unwillingness to move the piece touched. The derivation comes from an old English phrase, 'Shut up', formerly the conventional response to: 'You've touched that piece, you've got to move it.' Later the introductory phrase was omitted by the aggrieved player, and the piece toucher would automatically say 'Shut up' without the need for prompting. This was taken into middle High Flemish where it appeared as Schodop and later came into old Northern French as J'odeupe or J'adoube.
