Hehehe, that wasn't so bad. I figured them all out just fine. The clues were such give-a-ways! It helps to have played Portal though. It was fun collecting hearts from the girls on the last level... Really, most of the last 10 or so levels were pretty good.

Some give-a-way clues:
There's a key to this puzzle.
Nothing to do here.
I like mice.

Haha that was pretty fun.

The key one took me a while to figure out.

And it was staring you in the face the entire time. I figured that one out pretty quickly.

I like this. It is a turret defense where the enemies shoot your turrets in addition to your "lives": in this case, population. Took a few tries, but I beat Hard with 231,761 points. I am not sure I have the patience to get through the opening game in Apocalypse.

Edit: nevermind, my opening for Hard worked for Apocalypse. Beat it on first try after beating hard, 42,134. :P

Main problem is the lack of variation on strategy. DTD gives you a much broader array of choices. Here, the choices are mostly build order, a little bit location, and some secret sauce to not getting down to 500M pop in the final wave before the Apocalypse boss. I think a good chunk of it was improperly fortified edges. The AI in this game is pretty good, actually. Focus fire on the most vulnerable item in range.

Edit: I also could have done better by timing the planetary screen better... I lost half my pop in the wave before it went up, and never properly recovered.

man I keep on forget to post...good finds...but in spirit of thanksgiving coming up...I had to share this with yins...

The fact that this is sponsored by peta...wow....the serious game industry has matured greatly over the years....

Thoughts(Mini-spoiler): I found this game more downright hilarious than gross, but the bonus material with live feed was definitely...unpleasant (reminds me about an article I read a while back about pig farms...I'll dig it up if I remember)...but that's not going to stop me from eating turkey....

Edit: In fact...I'm going to eat a turkey sandwich...right now...

Good example of the turret defense where the mobs shoot back. I wish I could make mazes.

Remember those old point and click adventure games made by Sierra/LucasArts? the creators of Homestarrunner and Tell Tale Games joined up to make a series of "episodic" homestarrunner themed adventure games (can get it via steam...tempted but I'll probably wait till next year). Here's a flash based spoof/promo for it.

If you're curious on where "dangeresque" came from....

I read an unfavorable review of some Homestar Runner game. Certainly all of the ones on their webpage suck. Really, only the strongbad e-mails and a few of the similar style cartoons are funny.

Plants vs. Zombies - have not tried yet

I have tried the new version of Desktop Tower Defense. If you couldn't get enough of 1.5, 2.0 seems like it gives you what you need. Different sizes of maps, for instance, and corner entrances.

It's a little bit on the easy side but the variety and the mini games makes it a lot of fun and addictive. Now trying to grow my zen garden!

I remember at some point someone posted a similar game about some rodent that wanted to fly to space. Same theme, different animal 8)

What amazes me is how many gameplays this has gotten in 26 days (1.4 million or average about 37 games played per minute since it was uploaded). I just wonder how much revenue the guy gets....
