I Just finished the single-player demo, all I can say is HOLY SHIT!
Now this is a game to play with headphones in a dark room, if you like that kind of this.

Has anyone else heard of this? I showed Jason one of the early trailers, but playing it yourself is surreal; quite a few elements gave me the feeling of a very high quality Max Payne sans the cheese.

I used it to test out my new box:
- Case: SN25P (SFF)
- CPU: Athlon64 3000+ (Venice core, not overclocked, yet)
- RAM: 2x OCZ Platinum 1 GB PC3200 2-3-2-5@1T Sticks
- GPU: BFG 7800GT (256 MB, etc)
- Hard Drive: Maxtor DiamondMax 10 6B300S0 300GB
- DVD-RW: Pioneer DVR-105 (old)
- etc

I find it amusing that the cheapass has spent the most money on computer parts this year.VLSmooth wrote:I used it to test out my new box:It plays anime and runs FFXI well too

FarCry actually ran pretty well on my old GeForce 3 except when the nightvision was on. I played most of it at 1024x768. Then I got my Radeon 9800. And continued to play at 1024x768 (damn you old monitor).Jason wrote:I used to think that as well, but then far cry schooled me.Dwindlehop wrote:Anything runs well at 640x480.
Maybe I should just use Vinny's machine when he's working his unnatural work hours.

They were good deals too!Jason wrote:I find it amusing that the cheapass has spent the most money on computer parts this year.
Besides nagging me to no end, zilch. I just don't spend a lot of money (read as for 2 years). I also purchased a $1200 leather couch I've been meaning to buy for a year.quantus wrote:I wonder how much his parents helped him out with furniture, etc...
On the other hand, everything added together (counting the toilets) is making me uncomfortable.

For some reason this reminds of a certain incident where a specfic poster in this thread removed my hard drive to grab an episode of anime, then reinserted it after pilfering the goods without my roommate (Paul) at the time noticing the deed, except for the fact said person entered and left... *cough*George*cough*George wrote:Or just remove the locks from his doors or windows the next time we're there.
