Tabula Rasa

Still precious little information on the ground. However, it is headed by the same guys who did UO (including Lord British) and funded by NCSoft, so I am positive it will eventually launch.

Apparently they changed their focus after the launch of WoW/EQ2 from a heavily instanced MMOG with a unique fantasy/scifi blended setting to a more traditional scifi setting with unique gameplay elements. Apparently all combat is ranged... sounds sort of like a modern 3D Fallout.

Anyway, being a product of the same people who did UO, it is certain to be skill-based, have some PvP at launch, and be more of a virtual world than most other MMOGs.

Here's a couple articles about their E3 2005 showing:

Wow, that's pretty different than what I remember last time I checked up on it. We will see how it turns out.

August interview with Richard Garriott]

sticky targeting and combat with accuracy penalties for movement? interesting. i can't make head or tails of the "no static worlds" answer.
