No, I think Paul winds up on his friend's server. Since Dave isn't going to get the game yet, that probably means we will follow Paul. So then Dave either doesn't play with us or doesn't play with his clan.

So, it my best guess that unless Paul's friend winds up on Ragnarok, we will not be playing on the same server as Dave.

We should either convince Paul's friend to go to Ragnarok or Dave's clan to join Paul's friend's server.

Sounds like the right thing to do is for us to go to Dave's clan's server and bring Paul. Paul can then bring his friend, and we're all in the same place.

Actually no...my friend is following his several other friends on whatever server they end up, so it'll be hard to convince all of them for sure. But seeing they won't get their games any time soon, at least not from bb, I really don't know what's gonna happen.

So it looks like:

If Dave's clan starts playing before we do and sets Dave up with WP's then he can then bring us over, and we can bring Paul's friends over.

If we get the game before Dave's various clans we'll probably just go with whatever server we get assigned to. I'll probably try rerolling to see if I can get on Ragnarok but if not oh well. Dave can then choose to join us or not, and we can get WP's for Paul's friend and his friend's friends.

I think what I"m gonna do is when I get the game tomorrow, I'll see what server I get on. I don't particularly care what server I get on as long as it seems good enough and if I get world pass I'll let you guys know.

yeps, I think i'd prefer to start on a newer server. Most of my clan wont be playing until after playoffs are over (this is last week of season), and the ones that are mmorpg ppl are playing the DAOC xp or somehting. So most likely ill be ending up buying passes for a few of my clan and a few ac2 ppl (my old vassals lol) unless my other friend @ cmu in my clan who has a friend playing the japanese import gives us passes (im sure that makes sense)

Yeah I think we should try for one of the new servers, Fairy or either Ramuh or Midgarsormr (don't know which one is the other new one). Apparently there are a bunch of DAOC plaers headed for Ramuh but they're from a different server than the one I played on.

Alright well according to the server page (which is apparently listed from old to new) Fairy and Midgardsormr are in fact the two newest servers.

This is the most non-launchy launch ever. I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that nobody is in the using the English version. Everyone is waiting for EB to have it in stock or for FedEx to deliver or something.

Yup as far as I can tell, EB will be the first to ship, and EB buyers will get it today, whether online or from store. so theoretically as of now VERY few people have the game if at all

anecdotal evidence from waterthread.org suggests that north american players are seeing Caitsith as a server. so if we play on caitsith, maybe we won't be alone.
