I could go on further to ask about lotions and aftershaves and lord knows what else, but frankly I don't care to know that much about you.

how do you shave with the grain with electric razor?
I shave with electric razor most of the time. But some times I shave with disposable razer to make it smooth like vinny.
I though straight razer refers to the folding blade thingy they use at barber?

Peijen is right on all accounts. Jonathan needs a class on shaving terminalogy. You got the electric, the disposable, and the straight. Straight razors can be more expensive than electric.

Poll updated to reflect wishes of the pedants.
With an electric razor, the direction in which you move the razor towards new uncut hair, either with or against the grain, is the direction. Ignore the effects of the electric blades' movement.
It's like a freshman physics problem, see.

I'll use an electric razor most of the time, but it just doesn't do a very good job for me. I've taken to using disposable razor against the grain to get a truly good shave that lasts. Don't shave against the grain unless you've already done a good job with an electric razor or shaved with the grain using a disposable razor. Lotion is recommended to keep your skin from becoming dry. It will hurt to shave against the grain if your skin is dry. With this in mind, shaving after a shower is not a bad idea.
The only problem with shaving with a non-electric razor is that it tends to take longer.

I usually use an electric razor, because it's easy. But it doesn't do a very good job. Not that it matters much anyway, since I usually shave no more frequently than once every 3-4 days. When I want a really smooth shave, though, I do use a Gilette Mach 3, with triple action super kung-fu grip blades, and I usually shave against the grain. I also never use shaving cream. Just hot water. I think that probably wears out my blades a bit faster.
