Myrmid changed servers on me, and I failed to update my domain's IP address. I'm not sure why the database is from a month ago.

The email that signified the move is when all of your files were
transferred from the old server to the new server.

Hopefully you have the DB backed up during that period of time since the
old platinum server is no longer in use.
Oh, OK. I'm just generally incompetent. That explains everything. Whoops.

Quick, remember everything you posted between October 16 and Monday.

Btw, is it just me, or do new post links no longer work?
(the orange page icons next to threads with new posts)

Instead, I have to open up the last page and manually scroll to the newest post.

This is unacceptable! How dare it obstruct laziness. :(

Yeah, it's not working for me, either.

My best guess is that for some reason the new post links are references to jonathan.pearce.name, not http://www.jonathan.pearce.name. jonathan.pearce.name is a separate dns entry. It should point to the same IP, but it's been less than super-functional. I am hoping that jonathan.pearce.name will eventually point to the site again.

It does bother me as well. If it keeps happening, I'll try to figure out how to make the new post links point to http://www.jonathan.pearce.name.

I can get to the site at work fine, but I couldn't get to it from home. Still an DNS issue?

I think so. Access has been flaky for me. That is, one minute I'll be reading it, and the next minute I'll get a server not found. Give it another day.

I have no problem whatsoever with anything. I think it's because Macs rule. Somehow.

Everything works for me now, so I'm assuming it works for everyone. If that's not true, tell me.

Actually I get the opposite problem with intermittent "www.jonathan.pearce.name could not be found" errors. If I start off by going to the ~dwindle address it works fine.

ask yourself 1st, what STFU&D means, then fillin the blanks!

Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering.

Yeah, actually, so it is only completely working for me at work. At home I still have to use my IP. But I believe it will eventually resolve correctly.

Starting this morning, I can no longer see http://www.jonathan.pearce.name at work. It was working fine for a couple days straight until today. jonathan.pearce.name still works. I'm not sure what I'm using at home, but it worked this morning.
