I'm not sure when it was introduced, but it's been around for a while.

It's not MSN IM. It's basically corporate IM, because they provide a server program that you can run inside your firewall and not allow anyone to talk to the outside world. You never have to send data to MS or AOL.

ok, that's what I figured, but I guess I wasn't completely right. which IM is it based on? who made it? and why are you cluttering up my trip thread.

i haven't used it. i think it's its own separate codebase. it's made my microsoft. it usually sits in your sys tray and refuses to be uninstalled. oftimes it's a security hole.

Except for that data that MS sends back to Redmond through the secret hole in your firewall that they put there...
