Rochester!

Seems like a nice place so far. It has a road system that lets you get from point A to point B, unlike say, Pittsburgh. It's like a huge mass of contiguous suburbs without much of a city to be suburbs of.
But of course it will suck in the winter. So you should all come up to Niagara Falls before that happens. Or maybe in the spring, which is like June. Heh.

Of the 5 other Americorps members I've met so far, 4 have been girls. 1 hot, 2 average, 1 not so hot.

Of the 15 or so new members that showed up to the picnic today, 10 were female. Of those, Jack White would say to half, "You're Pretty Good Lookin', for a Girl".
But your eyes are wide open.

Of course, I will likely be going straight into the friend zone. Though I did get a bunch of phone numbers that I will never call.

yeah, you need to start flirting right away or you're screwed. What's odd is that you can flirt with a girl and still become her friend, but if you're friends with a girl, it's somehow not ok to flirt with her in most situations.

So I matched to my first choice site at Strong Memorial Hospital's adolescent psych wing. It is a joint program with the Rochester City School District, involving setting up tutoring programs and such for kids who have to take a leave from school because of psychiatric hospitalization. The hours are 7:45 am to 2:30 pm.
I'm thinking I probably just won't eat lunch until I leave.
