Lately I've been middle clicking to open things in a new browser tab in the background, as is my wont, but some sites have displayed unexpected behavior. Usually the newly opened tab is presented as the focus, but sometimes I follow the link in my current tab, as if I left clicked.
At first I thought I was crazy, but now I think some websites are using scripting to control the behavior of middle click.
