This is the semifinal, I think. We knocked out Brookwood which was fantastic because those fuckers talked almost as much shit as the most trash-talking team out there (some Academy I forget the name, the fuckers). Anyway Walton County is a huge ass AAAA school.

The TV station was like 15 minutes from my high school, and a few hours from Walton County. We had people in the audience who weren't even related to us!

The questions only seemed more difficult. Actually, the folks from Walton, and us as well, were given cheat sheets of facts pertaining to the air date of this episode by our respective coaches. That's how we all knew to ring in so quickly--we were taught to guess the ends of questions based on certain keywords. Looking back, this show was a sham, and if it has indeed "regressed" since 1998, well, heaven help us all...I hope Justin Farmer isn't asking the kids to draw a square or something.

I found this comment last year and almost posted it but it felt somewhat beside the point during the summer of 2020. However, with all the safety and security afforded by 2021 I can legitimately post now and cry, "WTF!"
