Is there any place out there that reviews wireless products for the enthusiast user? I'm thinking about stuff like antenna directionality and achieved SNR, etc. Hell, a decent pass at a roundup of current 802.11n products and achieved throughput in real world conditions would be nice.
We live in a noisy RF environment. I have tried all the 802.11g channels, but we still occasionally get pauses streaming Hulu to Amber's laptop. I used to see a fair amount of just plain losing connection altogether, but perhaps the current channel I am on has reduced incidents of that.

Re: wireless reviews
The best solution for us might be an aftermarket antenna. Hmm.

You might want to look into the dual band n routers. There are far fewer people in the 5Ghz spectrum.
