When I had free trading with BoA, I decided to randomly diversify with what I figured were decent long companies and I threw $2k each into a whole bunch of stocks, including Citi... back when they were $50

Ouch. I think they're still in for a rough ride unless interest rates are frozen or they do it themselves voluntarily

My top gainers today:
TMA: +17.3%
INTC: +7.2%
MVL: +6.1%
CTAS: +5.1%
IR: +4.7%

For me to break even, Ingersoll-Rand must gain another 13%, Intel 30%, Cintas 40%, and Thornburg a mere 120%.

Marvel is already in the black with an annualized return of 14%.

Awesome. I was using my records to estimate my taxes (bastards haven't sent me my 1099 yet) and realized I didn't sell any stock this last year. No Schedule D for me!

I also realized I've overpaid capital gains for the last few years, since apparently, the purchase commission is part of the cost basis. That's probably $10 lost. Unless I file an amended tax return! For several years!
