Apparently, there's a marketing concept called the Triple Burger Theory. It goes like this. Sell your customers a single, a double, and a triple burger. Almost nobody wants a triple burger because it's kinda ridiculous. However, now that you sell a triple burger, more of your customers will decide to upgrade to a double. The double is more acceptable by comparison to the triple.

makes sense to me. The single $1 or less burger is almost always the most cost effective thought.

I miss having letuce or tomato though :-\
