free like web databasey/survey thing?

Post by Jonathan »

Basically I want to ask random strangers to type in some information for several (maybe 4) different questions, and then to be able to export the data to csv or something.

Anybody care to lend me a clue?

Background: I am betatesting the new Eve Linux client, and I want to collect info on framerate. I imagine doing something with the data to show that graphics card X is 20% better than graphics card Y. But I need some structure in the data, not a bunch of forum posts.

The only one I know is surveymonkey. Am investigating it.

Main problem with surveymonkey, by the way, is that it won't let me download responses without becoming a paid member. $20/mo is too much.

Advanced Poll is pathetically simple. It only lets you make phpBB-style polls. Lame.

Do you want something intelligent or just a simple click here and count?

I need something that treats answers to multiple questions as a single record.

So, if you answer questions 1-4 as ABCD, I need to know your response was ABCD, not just the total overall number of A responses, B responses, etc.

I wrote a script to screenscrape surveymonkey. Someone on the internet offered to write something to bypass surveymonkey altogether... Still waiting on that one.

Ummm, how about a wiki and a table? If someone messes with your results, just revert the version. Otherwise, let people enter data in their own happy little way. Heck, you could even use forms if you want to be really snazzy.
